Performed Grey box testing on GSA (Global Storage Architecture) web and command line tools that allowed users to manage shared data on IBM's General Parallel File System (GPFS) and its supported components. Tested all native protocols in the context of the systems design to evaluate its functionality within a GPFS clustered environment. Verified the compatibility and interoperability of the following network protocols for seamless storage accessibility and functionality: NFS, SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, Samba, and FTP.

Utilized Yahoo's YSlow performance tool to analyze our department's Web GUI components. Made changes to the web server, combined and optimized CSS and JavaScript code, resulting in an 20% performance increase.

Created automated test scripts in Perl to simulate client sides requests executing GSA's storage management utility command line tools. Designed Watir (Web application testing in Ruby) to automate browser actions on GSA's Web GUI. Developed scripts that gathered data generated from logs and verified end results with information queried from LDAP servers.

Managed the processing and reporting of change requests and defects during the SDLC. Responsible for new feature and regression testing strategies, bug resolution and priority management, new feature documentation, and customer E-fix availability in support of quarterly release schedules.

Performed task-oriented functional testing (TOFT), created test cases, and evaluated existing test case accuracy and coverage. Performed system testing and deployment validation. Provided sign-off for assigned functional areas. Responsible for the preparation and generation of product release notes and user documentation components, including web-based and AIX command line man pages. Created and verified accessibility issues and Section 508 requirements using IBM's Bobby reader.

Maintained logged defects using Bugzilla and worked proactively with developers to resolve bugs. Tracked outstanding defect reports and documented resolution after successful testing. Identified regression test cases for future software releases. Authored new project test cases. Ensured test cases were updated with correct and appropriate data.

Supported IBM Austin's site migration from a DCE/DFS filesystem environment to a GPFS environment by creating web-based migration documentation and new GPFS user guides that defined file system namespaces, file set quotas, and policies on initial file placement, user management and access control (ACLs).

Created documentation and visual aids for DCE/DFS end users, and system administrators. Documentation consisted of installation guides, user guides, flowcharts, release notes, and online help, in the support of the DCE/DFS roll-out at the IBM Austin Site. Provided ongoing online DCE/DFS technical support to internal IBM customers,and DCE/DFS's repository of officially supported IBM tools,
Developed documentation in support for AFS to DCE/DFS migration supported on AIX, SunOS, and Solaris, including documentation on Kerberos 4 and Kerberos 5 clients. Taught informal brown bag classes on fileset creation, and DCE/DFS ACL manipulation.
